Compatibility

Simple BnB Rental is designed to work seamlessly with most modern WordPress installations. This page summarizes the minimum technical requirements, compatibility with the main themes and builders, and some useful notes to avoid conflicts.

Minimum requirements

MySQL/MariaDB Database MySQL 5.7 / MariaDB 10.3 or higher
HTTPS Required for the use of Stripe and for the proper management of bookings

Confirmed compatibility

Simple BnB Rental is compatible and tested with:

  • Standard WordPress themes (Twenty Twenty-One, Twenty Twenty-Four, etc.)
  • Bricks Builder, Elementor, and Block Editor (Gutenberg)
  • Caching plugins (WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed Cache)
  • WPML, Loco Translate, and multilingual translation tools (Simple BnB Rental uses WordPress’ native internationalization system, so all strings can be translated via WPML or Loco Translate).
  • Common security plugins (Wordfence, Solid Security)

Integration with payment systems

  • Stripe is natively integrated for online payments. A valid API key and the use of the HTTPS protocol are required.
  • Other payment gateways are not currently supported.

Potentially incompatible themes or plugins

Avoid using plugins that: - Override the loading of jQuery or global JavaScript libraries - Alter the behavior of the calendar or dates (e.g., generic booking plugins) - Interfere with sessions or redirect after payment

If you experience compatibility issues, you can temporarily disable other plugins and re-enable them one at a time to identify the conflict.

Any hosting that supports WordPress with PHP ≥ 8.1 will work properly. However, for optimal performance we recommend:

  • HTTPS support with active SSL certificate
  • PHP ≥ 8.1+
  • MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+ database
  • Active 'curl' and 'json' PHP modules (required for Stripe)
